DRESS THE F**K UP Campaign

Come behind the scenes with me on our second ever video campaign shoot!

This month I wanted to focus on the feeling of the brand rather than a new collection. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, to highlight that our pieces aren’t designed for a season or one drop to move onto the next, but the garments are there to support you through everyday life, because they are just so fabulous and timeless.

This project was such a fun collaboration between many creatives. It shows our KLOU girl in everyday 'mundane' scenes we all find ourselves in, and the confidence that getting dressed up and expressing your true self can bring.

I want every girl to feel her true self in Katharina Lou, dress just for herself, and have fun in the process (we all need to maximise joy in our lives!), so I loved working on this project with director Nicola, exploring what this looks like in every day life.

We shot four separate looks and scenes across the day, each with a fun little story to tell. I wanted to bring you along and share so many fun pictures with an inside scoop of what the day looks like behind the scenes (because sometimes thats the best part!)

"This four-part series celebrates women who defy convention, who stand out… and encourage those who don’t. It gives us a glimpse into who the KLOU girl really is—someone who is unapologetically herself and makes the monotony of the everyday beautiful. In a world that often demands conformity, this is for those who “Dress the f*ck up.”

We had so much fun dressing the scenes for our KLOU girl. Shoes and accessories and clothes scattered throughout, very carrie Bradshaw coded - the oven is for shoe storage right?

My favourite part of shoots is always setting the scene with lots of KLOU touches to pull you fully into our world. You'll see so many of our accessories and pieces used throughout all our campaigns, which feels like such a nice nod to our world - and no need to buy newness every shoot. A lot of our props are second hand including our new fab vintage phone.
