PARIS WITH KLOU

A very special city for KLOU, I shot my first overseas campaign here in 2023 and somehow find myself back here every year.

Its not an original feeling (I know) but god I love it here and wanted to share some of my fave places!

WHERE TO STAY.

If you are in Paris purely for shopping (who isn't?) the best place to stay is Le Marais in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. Between bars, restaurants and shops you'll find yourself very busy in this area.

I also love Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement - This is based around the hills of the Sacré-Cœur. Try book an Airbnb with a view of the building (there are plenty) as it lights up at night and is magical.

Biking is hands down the bestttt way to get around! No matter how long your visit is there is way to much to see in Paris, so its the best to see all the streets that make the city so magical. Hire a bike and ride along the Seine at sunset if you can. *Chefs kiss*

TIME TO  SHOP.

If you're starting in Le Marais - it feels like every second building is a vintage or designer store, If you want to visit them alll, you could spend 2-3 days here - its heaven!

Some of my faves in Le Marais are;
Nuovo - Select vintage and some of their own styles - fab basics.
Bobby - This is a chain but they probably have the best range for the best price in here. Worth visiting a few locations.
The Room - Across two locations they have a very curated and well kept selection of mid to  high range designer items. Lots of Dolce, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier.
The Statement - More exxy but INCREDIBLE designer pieces. I have never seen a coat collection quite like theirs!

Omaé - Coffee spot for a break while you're shopping in Le Marais!
Merlot - Another fab coffee shop!

Dover Street Market - A store founded and curated by Comme des Garçons Rei Kawakubo is always on my hit list in any city I visit. (Other locations being London, Tokyo, LA NY and more!) This store is like no other;  its more of an exhibition than a retail shop, they close twice a year to fully re do the store, so every time you visit its completely different! Of course its filled with some incredible designers you struggle to find elsewhere; Dries Van noten, Simone Rocha, sacai & Cecilie Bahnsen to name a few!

Place des Vosges - My favourite spot for a little break in between shopping, these gardens are surrounded by stunning Parisian buildings, you feel as though you have stepped back in time on a movie set.

Merci - A very fun multi level concept store!  You'll find unique gifts, home wears, pottery, clothing and honestly anything you can think of in there! I purchased a very realistic baguette candle of course.

OFR Paris - One of the best book shops in the world! You'll find this on any book lovers guide. They stock everything design, fashion architecture! I always love browsing the magazines as their selection is top notch and most you wont find often (especially In Australia) I picked up an I-D and DAZED mag for the studio.

Galleries Lafayette - A department store in Paris can obviously do no wrong and there a few of these around the city, BUT the Haussman location is a breathtaking building so I recommend going to visit there. Sightseeing and shopping in one! The building is six levels built around a stained glass and intricate steel dome, there is even a viewing deck within the building. You can stay here for hours they have all the best brands, they even have a whole section dedicated to vintage and secondhand. Its pretty cool to see these traditional departments stores get with the times and integrate circular fashion into their model.

HOT TIP - If you're there around Christmas - They put up some pretty amazing festive decorations with the largest tree I've ever seen!

NEXT, WE EAT.

Cafe Chalot - A classic Aperol and dinner spot on the streets of Le Marais. Doesn't get more Parisian than that!

Les Progrès - Another classic

Au Top - More Exxy but the view is incredible!! A rooftop wine and dine, escaping the busy streets of Paris is such a treat. The perfect date night or special occasion visit while you're away.

Chez Janou - A perfect old-school brasserie, the interior is so fun and vibrant with posters floor to ceiling. Food is reasonably priced and of course stay for the mountain of chocolate mouse as dessert.

THEN WE WEAR KLOU (DUH)

Obviously have to feel my best in this fabulous city so come see my favourite fits from my most recent trip!

Our new Daphne blouse, and my new fave top! This is such an easy throw on and go kinda outfit- the perfect shopping day companion.

The lightweight fabric and breezy shape was also perfect for peak summer in Paris!

The ruffle bikini in all her glory! I’ve been dreaming about this styling combo and wearing our new bikini as a top so had to save it for a night out in Paris of course!

I wore her with some new Paris purchases; A vintage emerald green belt + some second hand Balenciaga shades.

And peaking through the Jillian skort - your best friend for riding a bike but also looking fabulous!
Hope you enjoyed reading my Paris reccs ! <3
